47th Hamburg International Boat Show at the Hamburg Fair site and in the hanseboot harbour from 28 October to 5 November 2006
hb 2 / 30 August 2006
The Advance Press Conference was held yesterday for hanseboot 2006, 47th Hamburg International Boat Show, to be held on the Hamburg Fair site and at the hanseboot harbour, from 28 October to 5 November. There will be 900 exhibitors from 21 nations, presenting some 1200 boats and yachts, including numerous premieres. An innovation this year is the introduction of six thematic islands, each focusing on certain subjects and interest groups.
There are numerous innovations in equipment and accessories, in particular in electronic yacht accessories.
The supporting programme at hanseboot is characterised by a high level of expertise - there is a Symposium on Yacht Design and Yacht Building, a Marina Forum, and the Blue Water Seminar with Bobby Schenk. The German Boat and Ship Builders Association will put on a special show with short and very practical presentations on a range of boating subjects. The numerous special activities and shows at hanseboot 2006 include the 22nd art maritim, showing a selection of some 130 impressive exhibits from this year's partner country, Turkey, and giving a fascinating overview of the Ottoman seafaring tradition.
The 47th Hamburg International Boat Show will already be able to make use of
three new halls (A1, A2 and A3) on the new western site of the fair,
connected by a spacious bridge link to the traditional site of the fair.
Hall A1 presents sailing yachts, A2 the thematic island hanseboot Classics and A3 the big motor yachts.
