Change in the European Marine organisation

John Hurtig has been appointed Marine Product

Planning Manager of Honda Motor Europe Power

Foto: John HurtigEffective February 1st. 2008 Mr John Hurtig (28) formerly Product Manager Marine at

Honda Nordic AB has been promoted Marine Product Planning Manager at Hondas

European head office (HME-PE) based in London UK.

In April 2006 John took over the responsibility for the Swedish Marine business in

Honda Nordic and has since that successfully developed the business in many ways.

From 1st. of October 2007 the European headquarter for PE business moved from

Paris to Langley in London and is now in the same organisation as for Honda Cars

and Motorcycles in Europe. The number of people working for Marine

will at the same time be increased.

Marine business is a growing business for Honda in Europe and Marine is now one of

the most important divisions for Honda. With an aggressive plan for the future Honda

intention is to grow the business even more and with many interesting product

launchings.

John Hurtigs comments:

-Since two years back Honda changed the Marine strategy which is very successful all

over Europe and Sweden has been one of the most growing markets the last year.

I will now work on a European level to strengthen our strategy both in products and

the most important our dealers.

It is a great opportunity to build up the Marine organisation with many challenges both

for Honda and also for my personal experiences.

Mikael Comrin Sales Manager Honda Nordic Power Equipment takes over the

responsibility for the Marine business within Honda Nordic and the company is looking

for a Marine district Manager for south east and northern Sweden.
