One of the most cruising oriented X-Yachts in the range - a classic with a well proven interior layout, built to X-Yachts usual high standards and featuring a steel bottom girder system taking mast and keel loads, 2 spreader masthead rig with discontinuous rod rigging with hydraulic backstay and a large diameter steering wheel for ultimate comfort and control.
All bulkheads, berth fronts and backrests are fixed to hull and deck on both sides. All surfaces are high quality marine teak plywood varnished and oiled to obtain a satin type surface. Solid laminated teak frames and cappings. All doors are provided with lockfittings. Teak floors in head with access to bilge.
Bulkheads in head are white. Floor board is in teak with decoration stripes mat varnished.

CONSTRUCTION / CE-CERTIFICATION
The X-362 has been built in accordance with the European CE-Certification and meets the requirements of the CE-directive 94/25/CE for recreational crafts.
These rules require a certain minimum standard of hull and deck strength, structural bulkheads and stringer, keel and rudder and their attachment to the hull, safety and stability, engine installation, gas installation, sea cocks, manuals and documentation of all major installations.

HULL/DECK & HULL/DECK JOINT
Hull as well as deck are in hand laid E-glass reinforced on special high stress areas with Triaxial fibre glass in connection with a sandwich laminate using hard compressed Divinycell 15 mm as core material. Solid laminated around the keel reinforcement girder system, the engine install, the rudder bearings as well as in connection to all through hull fittings.
Hull surface outside is made of white gelcoat with 3 blue waterlines and sheer line moulded into the freeboard. Deck reinforced around and under all deck hard ware fittings with marine plywood and/or aluminium plating instead of the hard compressed Divinycell foam in a thickness of 15 mm.
Surface of deck outside is white gelcoat and the antislip areas on side decks are light grey, when ordered without teak laid deck. Area around cabin windows is blue.
Hull and deck are glued together with a special polyester resin and are bolted together every 100 mm with s/s screws.

BOTTOM REINFORCEMENT/MAST FRAME
The floor construction is a heavy welded bottom frame with keel floors, mast floors, lifting strap securing lugs made of TBS steel sections, longitudinally connected with same material.
The floor construction is heat galvanised and glassed into solid laminate.

KEEL
Antimony hardened leadkeel, with cast iron top and with very low centre of weight.
The keel is fixed with s/s bolts. The surface of the keel is protected with one layer of GRP and filler.

RUDDER/STEERING/EMERGENCY TILLER/COMPASS
The rudder blade is laminated in Triaxial fibre glass. The rudder stock is a solid aluminium rudder stock, tapered at both ends for strength and weight saving.
The lower rudder bearing is roller bearing for minimum resistance.
The wheel steering is type Whitlock with a rack and pinion system. The wheel (diameter 140 cm) is covered with leather. On top of the pedestal is a Suunto compass.
For safety, the yacht is delivered with a spare tiller to be mounted on top of the top rudder bearing.

STRUCTURAL BULKHEADS
Main structural bulkheads are of marine plywood - 12 - 24 mm securely bonded to the hull and deck.

CHAIN PLATES / BOW FITTING
Side chain plates are of stainless steel through bolted to longitudinal hull GRP stringers.
Chain plate permanent backstay
Stainless steel through bolted to the longitudinal bulkhead.
Bow fitting
Stainless steel bolted through the reinforced solid GRP bulkhead in bow (bow with integral anchor roller).
Chain plate for babystay supported by the transverse bulkhead.

BILGE/BILGE PUMPS
In keel a deep bilge. The steel girder floor is with limber holes to allow all water to be assembled in the bilge. A hand operated bilge pump is mounted for operation in the cockpit to meet the demands from Special Regulations + one electrical bilge pump with a manual switch.

ENGINE INSTALL
Engine
18 HP Yanmar 2GM20 FC diesel freshwater cooled engine. S-Drive install and a 380 mm bronze folding propeller.
Dieseltank
80 litres s/s tank with deck fill, separator, shut off valve. Extra dieseltank on request.
Engine instrument and control
Engine instrument panel led into the cockpit coaming. Alarm for oil pressure, watertemp., and charging power. Single level control at cockpit coaming.

TOE RAIL/RAIL/BATHING LADDER
A black anodised aluminium toerail with 2 fairleads in each side for moorings. 8 stainless steel stanchion bases are attached to the toerail.

One 3 leg pulpit with nav. light. Two 3 leg pushpits with stern light + flag holder. Double s/s lifelines passing through the stanchions. Height according to ORC requirements.

MAST/BOOM/KICKVANG/RIG/SPECTRA HALYARDS/REEFS
The basic mast is a silver anodised double spreader tapered mast. The mast head is of cruiser/racer type with Profurl Furling head stay. Standing rigging, discontinued rod rig, with bronze bottle screws at deck and spreader level. Includes Spectra main halyard, Spectra spinnaker halyard, messenger for additional spinnaker halyard, 2 Spectra genoa halyards (one for spinnaker pole topping lift). Steaming light, windex with light, tube for additional electrical mast head equipment. Spinnaker pole track with adjustable car with bell for fitting for spinnaker pole inboard end (spinnaker pole is part of optional spinnaker equipment).
Boom with outhaul and 2 reefing lines. Mechanical adjustable high power kickvang. Rod kicker type.
Babystay adjustment: Wichard Pelican adjuster. (Alt. topping lift to fit to deck pad eye when mainsail reefed). Navtec hydraulic backstay adjuster. 2 running backstays with 1 : 4 purchase block system with cams.

FRESH WATER SYSTEM
Pressurised cold fresh water system. Water outlets in both heads and galley sink. Shower unit in head. Freshwater tank (180 litres capacity) with deck mounted deck fill. Double s/s sink in galley. Hot water on request.

One water flushing pump toilet with gastight reinforced piping. Seacocks with valves on all water in and outlets.

All halogen low consumption lights. Navigators light at chart table. Approx. 26 lights of different types, ex dome light, reading light etc., are placed in the boat.

INTERIOR ACCOMMODATION
All bulkheads, berth fronts and backrests are fixed to hull and deck on both sides. All surfaces are high quality Khaya mahogany plywood with 3 layers of lacquer with light sanding in between, to obtain a silkmat surface. Solid laminated mahogany frames and cappings. All doors are provided with lockfittings. Bulkheads in head are white.
Galley
2 s/s sinks, pressure cold water, and insulated GRP icebox. Galley provided with 2 burner gimbaled stove with oven. Stowage for gas tank/bottle is in one of the cockpit lockers. Cooling compressor mounted in icebox as extra. Lots of shelves, plexi sliding doors, drawers etc. to contain glass, plates and other crookeries.
Cushions
High quality compressed foam with different upholstery - see samples. Navigation chair under chart table swings out.
Curtains
for deck house windows are standard.
